Yes. Florida approves online Basic Driver Improvement courses at the state level, through FLHSMV, so an approved online course counts in every county; there's no court-by-court lottery on format.
What Florida rations instead is time and turns. The election, telling the clerk you are taking the course, must happen within 30 days of the citation, and blowing that deadline closes the option no matter how eligible the course is. Each election also spends one of your once-per-12-months, eight-per-lifetime allotment (s. 318.14(9), as amended 2025), which is worth checking on your driving record before you commit a marginal ticket to it.
The exclusions run at any format: commercial license holders can't elect, and a citation for 30 mph or more over the limit is ineligible outright.
One practical note on picking a school: FLHSMV approval is the only credential that matters. Florida's course market is crowded with lookalike sites, and the approved-provider status is what makes the certificate real. Every online BDI course we compare on the Florida page carries it, and the full price stack, including the state assessment fees behind Florida's famously low sticker prices, is on our cost page.
